This two-day event will consist of a workshop and a seminar on patient reported outcome measures (PROMs).

The workshop on Thursday will provide an understanding of the opportunities that PROMs data present, why they are important and how to collect them – evidence and challenges.

The seminar on Friday will highlight where PROMs are being collected across the health spectrum and how they are being used to improve health related quality of care. This event will cover areas such as improvement in the quality of health care, from methodological developments through methods of dissemination of outcomes, to the implementation of improvement initiatives based on PROMs data.

Professor Christopher Forrest is Director of the Centre for Child Health Development and Professor of Pediatrics and Health Care Management at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia and the

University of Pennsylvania in the USA.

Professor Madeleine King is the first Cancer Australia Chair in Cancer Quality of Life. In her seven years as QOL Chair to date, Madeleine has brought a wealth of experience and knowledge to the Australian cancer research community and has been instrumental in building collaborative research efforts, nationally and internationally.
